The Harbour Master’s office is located in the Port Administration building within the Ruwais Industrial Area Service Harbour.
Petroleum Port Authority (PPA) Head Office is located within the ADNOC headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The rules and regulations in the port contribute to the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible handling of shipping. The IMO conventions, such as SOLAS, MARPOL, IBC, IGC etc. and national regulations, are in force in the port. Furthermore, the Port Regulations are the "house rules" of the port.

The Harbour Master may forego the application of some provisions of specific regulations.
A Craft Entry Permit is required for all crafts entering PPA administered areas.
Permission (verbal or written) is required to be granted for special activities such as lifeboat drills, repairs and cleaning.
A Marine Permit is a must for any Marine Projects within the Petroleum Ports.
